I like the picked intro in this song. If I'm correct you have a capo on.. Can I guess fret 5?

I like the fact you didn't rhyme every single line, but instead rhymed lines 1 & 3, and 2 & 4 - much better.

First, learn Dm7. It has the same principle as F but it's easier. Also, if you get too frustrated, you can use Fmaj7 as a sub for F major, however, you SHOULD learn how to do F major eventually. It's an important chord.

A lot of it really involves learning theory. Learning how notes fit together so you can write more interesting phrases. It't like painting. You might be decent at art, but if you learn the theory of proportions, and color contrast, you're talent will be boosted by skills and research.

Has anyone done karaoke at a bar or a karaoke joint? Do you feel it's improved your singing, stage presence, or ability to get over stage fright?
I've done it quite a few times, but 2 nights ago was the first time I've done it in front of a crowd. It was different, but I had a really good time, and I got into it.

That's awesome. It's nice to share your recorded tracks with others.

I've never really used finger picks. I've felt weird with them on, and my playing suffers from it. I'd like to get more into it. What would you recommend I start with in terms of picking and songs?

Sorry, guys. but I absolutely HAD to share this. My friend told me about Amogh Symphony, and they're so amazing they just deserve their own thread. I'm listening to the Abolishing The Obsolete System album right now. It's so amazing. You have to hear it. I won't describe it, because how can you describe a sound that involves jazz, blues, technical death metal, instrumental, funk, fusion, electronic and progressive influences all in one? It's amazing.
Seriously check them out, and PLEASE let me know what you think.

For me, when I was driving I just realized I don't like it because I don't understand it. I've known that for years about jazz, but why it just hit me about Mariachi I don't know. Anyways.. I've decided to try and understand it as best as I can.

That's awesome. You really don't need anything fantastic to learn how to play an E major chord or Smoke On The Water. Good start!

I'd agree. It's probably a chord or scale chart, which are almost identical when deciphering them.

I don't know jack about electronics, but that's super cool. Do you have any plans for that vintage beast?
