I am putting the finishing touches on one of my songs and I would like to get you guy's input and help. This is the instrumental part with some glaring holes that I am working on. The vocals are really bad, recovering from some bronchitis. So give it a try. Listed under: instrumental. www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1052576

Curse your good rhythm playing! Was trying to fit in some mandolin, but it's a bit to heavy a song, and I don't know my chords well enough yet to be honest. I think I can hear some keyboard room in there tho

I was thinking about a mando part to to off set the darker rythum part too. This song started out being light and fluffy but changed along the way. It needs something in the higher end.

Thanks Rob that gives me some food for thought. I have found that this song is really hard to play on any thing but the guitar. I have a bass player coming in to give me some lics.

lol yeah I've been struggling to fit much in there, was happier with the chorus section. Simpler parts are often better with more people or everything just ends up a big mess. When I do bass it's just root notes to keep the pulse, with maybe a small walk up the scale or a short riff. Mandolin was too jangily for the tone of the song. Post how you get on

OK here is the newer version of my song, still lacking the Bass, thanks to Type A influenza. Bad enough letting a bass player into the house (you all know how they are) Ha Ha but one that is sick, Oh My. Plan is to redo the vocal with someone that has pitch. Add a bass. and some mandolin parts similar to some of the high guitar lead parts, when the guitar goes up the mandolin will go down in a step type pattern. Still considering some organ parts. Use the same link but press on : Come Praise the Lord. Looking for some input from you guys, this is still a work in progress so tell me what you think it needs. Don't worry about my feelings, I have access to all kinds of antidepressants and counseling so I'll be OK.

Ok took a little longer. That version I managed to figure out some mandolin, and using some equivalent major / minor chords (some of those up there are hard on mandolin!) and adding a few things here and there I came up with this. I've tried to balance it, but for some reason your tracks are pretty quiet when I download them off soundclick. macleod1518.orconhosting.net.nz/philfirst+comepraisethelord.mp3
