Ok, I have been playing alot of cords since I started to learn to play.(which has been really cool / for me anyway} but now i want my guitar to talk. Some videos say, ah just hit whatever but that don't seem to work for me yet. Any tips or rhymes or reason I could get would be great...maybe a good video laying around.

Alot of my playing envolves alternating picking and strumming. I usually start with the lower strings and then do some sort of picking of the higher 3 strings G-B-E in some order and then back to the lower strings. Mess around with paterns and you find one you like.

www.12bar.de/Oh no, my secret is out lol This site was the biggest help for me learning guitar - well before Mojo was recording his goodies It's gotten a lot bigger since I was last there. There's scale and chord generators I see now too. Don't worry about the .de - it is in English Starts out pretty simple with Beginning blues and chords and moves into soloing etc. It's a pretty wordy, but you might find it useful.

A lot of it really involves learning theory. Learning how notes fit together so you can write more interesting phrases. It't like painting. You might be decent at art, but if you learn the theory of proportions, and color contrast, you're talent will be boosted by skills and research.
