Do you think it is when you are trying to hard Probably... I think sometimes that because I've got a good guitar, I should be a good player. NOW!One day I might be ;D

Do you get days when you just can't play?
I sat down for a while today with the guitar and no mater what I tried it came out even worse than usual... I couldn't even strum a basic tune in time, couldn't fret notes, nothing was working.
I'm blaming it on working outside in the cold with bare hands ( laying slabs)

I hear or remember some tune I like and try to learn the lick that goes with it, then work on the strumming until I get stuck/fed up then go back to something else I've half learned. Then I'll do something by accident that sounds something like a riff from some other tune and play around with that for a while... Then go back to the beginning again. I can't even spell diss- i- plinn ................................

In comparison to the beat up Epiphone SG it is like playing twangy jangly, tone rich velvet.... ;D I particularly love the neck shape both back and front, found the SG to be too flat for my comfort and ease.

Pics... Just out the box. I was wondering WTF I had done on the drive back home but once I started playing with it I forgot all about how much it had cost. It feels soooo good in the hands and the tones from it are really nice. I sat up till all hours the last two nights playing surf guitar riffs and trying to learn 'Apache' as it sounds so right on it. TBH I could easily have, and should have, bought a Mexican or a Squire as at my standard it wouldn't have made a whole lot of difference but shallow as a puddle on a hot summer day that I am, this guitar really stood out from the rest in appearance. Plus it felt better built as there were no rough feeling around the frets, the finish is really nice- and Guitar Guitar have a great deal on just now...Also I would probably upgrade to something like this in a while anyway so would loose some money on an inferior guitar.... Why justify it? I like it and can (just) afford it. I'm really glad it's a beautiful day here as otherwise I'd just stay in and play.....got all night for that ;D ;D ;D ;D Loving it.
