I've been having great fun playing with all the settings on the Cube, reverb being my favorite just now but if I was getting a pedal then it would be Wah as that's the only thing missing from the cube I can think of.

I tried to find the DVD a few years back and got the story that there was some legal issue with the music and that it would never be released so I was a happy bunny when I got my hands on it!
I'm going to wait a few days before I watch it again ;D

Yesterday I got a neat stand for my much abused Epiphone SG which should stop it falling over when it's not being played.
Also in the prezzie pile under the tree was a DVD of the old TV series 'Tutti-Frutti' !!!!!!
Apologies for those of you outside the UK in general and Scotland in particular 'cos you might not have seen this gem of a piss-take on the music business and the tale of life on the road for ' Scotland's Hardest Working Band- The Majestics "
Pure dead brilliant ;D ;D ;D

The sushi restaurant that I used to go to in Glasgow had a track round the top of the bar with endlessly revolving dishes that were colour coded for the cost of each particular dish. The sushi chef worked behind the bar endlessly restocking what was being consumed- he was a busy man. It was very difficult to keep track of how much you were eating/spending...
(The building this place was in is owned by Richard kerr from Simple Minds - allegedly )

Man, you made my day! And on a tough personal day, too, so thank you for the kind message and your generosity for sharing your story. Sorry to hear you had a bad day and hope it gets better- especially over the next wee while. I had a tough day to- I got a blister on my 'Johhny Cash' finger No more sliding for a day or so as I don't like the SRV cure for sore fingers....

It's not just a Fifer thing!
(Everything else is a Fifers fault though...)

The old and the not so old ;D The SG wasn't working when it arrived and had been through a hard life. It had been dropped and the tone dial next to the jack plug socket had a lump out of it probably as the jack hit it when the jack plug got ripped out.... Anyway I ordered a new socket and soldered it in so now I don't get the crack of doom every time I move the guitar. I also replaced the strings as the B string broke first time I strummed it. And the front strap attachment which had been ripped out and was missing- probably the cause of the drop which did the rest of the damage. Oh- I also had to replace one of the two screws which holds the B string tuner on. That was bent and had been tightened up so it made the screw hole too big and the whole tuner was hanging at a weird angle. You can imagine what this did for the tuning. Anyway, now it's got some character and plays OK but I'll need to try and set it up a bit better- that'll give me something to do when my fingers get too sore to play

A few weeks ago having time on my hands I picked up my old acoustic guitar that's sat about the past two houses I've lived in gathering dust. It was the fourth guitar I'd bought and tried to learn to play and like all the others it was used a bit then abandoned as I gave up...
Now in my 51st year I went looking for lessons on the internet and found Threecordguitar on YouTube and it has all started making sense at last- seeing what I'm supposed to be doing and being able to play it back over and over until I get it has made all the difference.
It'll be a long, slow process for me to get to the point of being able to play anything worth listening to but I'm having a lot of fun on the way there so a big Thank You to Mojo for helping me along.
Oh, and the acoustic has a new friend now - an Epiphone SG with a Roland Cube 30, I wish they'd had all this stuff around years ago ;D
( Ebay is great!!)
