Hi all, just go back from the Guitar Center they had just taken in a Line 6 Vetta 2 in on trade and I have always wanted one. I have had a flextone lll xl for several years and really liked it. 2 - 12in speakers 150 watts. The Vetta is /was their top amp when it came out. the top amp models and all the bell and whistles that are available in the Liine 6 line . As you have heard me say I am a fan of the top Line 6 equipment and not very excited about their cheep stuff. Well you know where this is going. for a little more money I came home with this beauty. From the looks of it , it has one of everything on it every effect know to man and a huge selection of stomp boxes and more buttons and knobs than a man should have. Let the fun begin. ;D

Fishman Loudbox Mini PRO-LBX-500 60W 1x6.5 Acoustic Combo. Played on of these last weekend while trying of a new martin model and I was impressed. At $200 to $300 not a bad little amp.

I have and I very nearly bought one but ..... I didn't really know what it was Robben Ford plays one of these I think or a custom build of one They came in 4 models mine is the next to the top, The Ultra , The Rubin Floyd model was the top dog. Bought it from a friend of mine , I had never seen one before.

I play in church every sunday and rotate my guitars so they all get played. This month my 1972 Fender Ultra was my choice. Most of you probably have never seen one of these guys, It was Fender's try to make a Gibson like guitar. One little toggle makes it sound like a Strat and the other way sounds like a LP. I had forgot how nice it is to play a vintage guitar, they have a special feel and sound that newer guitar lack.

Watched her on TV a few months ago, not my style either. Tragic when the drugs take control.

Here is a pictures of my mobile rig, the only thing I would do different is to make the subs wider, mine are 14 inches wide so they fit in my small truck. If I were making them again I would make them 20 in, It would give them a bigger punch. This system is great for 50 to up to 150 people, double the cabs and you are up to over 300 people even outside. My total cost was about $1000- $1200 I built them 3 years ago.

RK, Good luck with all the changes, got to watch out for those bass players. Let me know when the CD is ready, looking forward to hearing it. If you know a wood worker check this web sit out. www.billfitzmaurice.com I have made the subs ( Titan's, mine are 14 in wide ) and the DR 250 for the main speakers. They are about $200-300 per speaker to build. They weight 40 # and have great sound. They are called folded horns and have a lot of power with little amp watts required. My mobile PA uses 2 - 500 watt amps and I rarely run them above 1/2. Max volume is 106 Db. Double the number of speakers and you can get very loud in a hurry. The claims of how good they sound and work are all true, I was very skeptical and now I am a believer. They have several models from hard to build like the DR series to others that you can build in a weekend. A lot of very smart guys on the site. Way over my head. Chech it out.

I read a blog recently where an American concert pianist fell in love with a grand piano in France. Bought it and had it shipped back to America. The American authorities impounded it and told her she had two choices either ship the piano back to France or have the ivory removed as it was a prohibited good. For the conservation of elephants. It didn't matter that the elephant that this ivory had come from had been killed long before the legislation was brought in. Needless to say, returning the piano to France was financially prohibitive. She had to arrange for the keys to be removed and sent back to France. There was a happy ending though. Apparently the French people, when it was made public, created such an uproar (not at all like the French ) the American authorities backed down and the keys and the piano were reunited! Just hope the neck of your guitar is not made from Brazillian mahogany or some other protected wood!! Never under estimate the stupidity of our leadership here in the US Lucky for us it is on both side of the political spectrum, we don't like to descriminate here. Perhaps you gents over there need a friend from over here that just sends you a guitar/equipment package that doesn't involve tarriffs.

I try to sing and play at the same time. In my experience singing is more difficult. Both acts require practice. No rotten fruit has been thrown in a few years the last few times I have played. If you want to make your singing and playing better, record yourself and listen and study the play back and do it over and over again. Then destroy the recordings so they don't come back to haunt you.
