Her music is not really my cup of tea but it's easy to see that she was a brilliant talent. I've no rocks to throw as I was once on the same self destructive path that took her life. Just a very, very sad happening.
RIP Amy.

Just read this myself. Yeah her stuff's not my cup of tea either RK, but it's still a shame. Fortunately not a path I've been on but it's easy to criticise from the outside. Not always easy to effect change. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/27_ClubWhy is Robert Johnson in the bottom list? GRR!

Thought she was a bit over-hyped myself however still very sad to see someone die so young but she was on that rocky road for sometime and it is a road that is so easy to go down

Watched her on TV a few months ago, not my style either. Tragic when the drugs take control.

What I remember about that time in my life was being so completely unaware of what a train wreck I was.
While I was doing all the needles (which was a quick downward spiral) it all seemed so harmless and "normal".
From that experience I take it that she may never have had that "moment of clarity" when it dawns on you that you are seriously messed up.

While I agree that the death of Amy Winehouse is very sad and I can only imagine the grief her family and friends are going through. I can't help thinking about all those kids in Norway who were not dicing with death by messing around with drugs, instead they were looking forward to liv ing their lives and maybe even hoping to "make a difference". Their lives have been snatched away through no fault of theirs. Now that is sad.

So far beyond tragic that I have no words for it. If someone were not to believe in real evil in this world then that should change their mind.
