That's a great idea.. You can really hear the difference between all the pickups. What pickups are they, might I ask?

I actually can play a lot of these songs, so I don't feel so bad!

Wow. Seriously? I just wouldn't expect this kind of behavior from a major player with the public eye on them. Besides, you can't even advertise that is has Madagascaran Ebony on it without attracting attention. I just don't get it.

Dead people, hmm... Decapitated, Death, Mozart!
Yepp.. I listen to dead people all the time, but... i try to make sure it's something I haven't heard from that dead person.. but at the same time.. dead people don't produce new records.

What 5 Country Songs, 5 Blues Songs, and 5 Rock Songs absolutely need to be in everyone's repertoire?

Thanks Happy Jack. That's actually where I'm stumped. I'm good at writing lyrics, but death metal vocals are a world unto themselves. Not very molodic, and as much as I wish I could, I can't really scream like that. Oh well...

Yeah, I hear ya. I seriously admire guys who can do parodies or musician/comedians who can make that happen. It's something I probably will never be able to do.

That's cool, too, but for me, I make it a personal goals to listen to 3-4 albums every month that I've never heard before. It keeps me musically fresh, motivated, and very musically cultured. I want to eventually be that guy that seems to always know about every artist you mention cause he's heard so much. Plus, I LOVE discovering new stuff. It's one of my big hobbies.

Gasman... Yes there are some classical influences there. And although I never thought of it, you're totally right. The final portion does sound pretty flamenco, to say the least. Thank you for the compliments!!!

Have you ever tried to write a funny song? I'm not sure why, but I have the hardest time being funny in a song. I can be serious, shocking, depressing, even happy, but funny evades.
In real life I'm not terribly funny, but I'm never shy to crack jokes and add levity to any situation.

Cool. Thank you guys for the input. It's just a practice, so I'm sure we'll sound better in the coming weeks, and as mentioned before, we plan on adding more instrumentation to it.
Thanks for the input!!!
@ Rayden: Great video. Perfect for beginners.

Thanks gasman!!! I'm glad you liked it. I always know I have a good song if after playing it, I hear someone humming something from the song. Not that you did that, but just in general it feels good.
