The real question is, " what band would you want to go and hear", . Stones hands down. The youger Who was always in my to 5 for bands but age has taken its toll on the Who. The Stones still do a great concert. Have you noticed that the bands with longevity all seem to have that Blues influence. Saw Clapton last year and his concert was tremendous. When you have some one like him, he just sets back and lets the band and new hot guitar player do their thing and then he takes over with his slow hand percision and the music just turns mellow. Some of the old dogs still have it. Phil

I like the grit of the Stones the best, but the most influence into the music world has to be the Beatles. The diversity of that goup in shapping music was unmatched. For longevity and general appeal, not to mention Keith's Richards tollerance to drugs the Stone Rule!!! Phil

heh, sounds familiar one thing that helps (me) (and I need to pursue this approach much more) is: every time you have that "cool" one, the one you'd like to remember and maybe use as a starting point to explore further: write it down/tab it it helps me memorizing and, more important, during the (mind you, sometimes tedious) process of producing a more or less accurate tab, I learn to get a clearer understanding of ... how to put it... how to work my fingers on that fretboard. I do the same thing, once I write it down It helps and I can look it up quicker that way. You can put several riff on a single sheet of paper. I use tabulature paper. Phil

It seems ,I may be one of the few people here without a tele. I have Strats, Ibanezes, Semi hollow bodies, and accustics. I don't have much knowlege about Tele's. So I need a Tele and then a Les Paul just to round me out. Tele me what you guys like about your Telis and which one is best. My music is classic rock and contemporary Christian. Phil

Not worth as much as you might think. Since it was a models that never became very popular not many people interested in collecting them. The guy that sold it to me only wanted $500 and it is worth maybe $1500. But that dosn't matter, it's one of my babies now so it will probably go to my grandson some day if he is a guitar player. Congrats on the Strat. Strats have allways been my favorite. That guitar will serve you well for years to come. As a new owner, and winter weather is here, don't let it dry out. Keep the humidity in your house 40% or more or keep it in the case with a guitar humidifier. Phil

This guitar is made by Fender back in 1984-1988 in Japan. It was called a Master Craft Series. My guitar is next to the top in the series. Mine is a Flame Esprit Ulta, The Top guitar is a Roobin Ford Signiture Model. There were 8 models and colors offered and only 2,000 to 3,000 were made. What makes this guitar different is that it was Fender's try at making a Gibson type guitar. The pickups are humbuckers but a switch turns them into single pole pickups. So up is a Les Paul sound, down is a Strat sound. Nice playing and sounding guitar. I had never even heard of this guitar before one of my patients brought it into me. He had picked it up in a pawn shop several years ago and wanted to sell it. He knew I was a Fender fan. Phil

We're takin' over Quick - Mojo build a Firewall to stop them. Guy called Hadrian did it over here it did help for a while ;D ;D ;D Place will be full of drunken porridge eaters That's what I mean. Now time to move away from politics methinks and back to why it's best to be a Scot: We invented - penicillin; antiseptics; lawnmowers; microwave ovens; marmalade; computer games; golf. Anaesthetics Beta-blockers Bicycles Cash credit Colour photography Cotton-reel threads Continuous electric light Criminal finger-printing Decimal points Fax machines Financial services by telephone Fountain pens Electro-magnetism Hollow pipe drainage Hypodermic syringes Insulin Kaleidoscopes Lime cordial Motor insurance Noble gases Paraffin Postage stamps Quinine Radar Reflecting telescopes Retail banking Savings banks Tarmac Ultrasound scanners Universal standard time Vacuum flasks Waterproof mackintoshes Wave-powered electricity generators The Telephone The Television and of course Irn Bru Not bad for a bunch of "drunken porridge eaters" Don't you think. And if Black Americans hadn't beaten us to it we would probably have invented the Blues too. As a result of English subjugation ;D Sorry I placed that comment out of position. I still vote not to set up the firewall and let them in. Phil

I have some Line 6 equipment and have found that the high end stuff is really good and that the entry level is just OK.
Fender always makes good Stuff but may not be as versitile.
I have been a fan of modeling amps for practice for some time, they are just more fun to be able to switch from amp and effects with ease. For recording, tuff to beat a tube amp. I think the Vox might be a good choice but I have not used one yet. Good hunting.
