This guitar is made by Fender back in 1984-1988 in Japan. It was called a Master Craft Series. My guitar is next to the top in the series. Mine is a Flame Esprit Ulta, The Top guitar is a Roobin Ford Signiture Model. There were 8 models and colors offered and only 2,000 to 3,000 were made. What makes this guitar different is that it was Fender's try at making a Gibson type guitar. The pickups are humbuckers but a switch turns them into single pole pickups. So up is a Les Paul sound, down is a Strat sound. Nice playing and sounding guitar. I had never even heard of this guitar before one of my patients brought it into me. He had picked it up in a pawn shop several years ago and wanted to sell it. He knew I was a Fender fan. Phil

Not worth as much as you might think. Since it was a models that never became very popular not many people interested in collecting them. The guy that sold it to me only wanted $500 and it is worth maybe $1500. But that dosn't matter, it's one of my babies now so it will probably go to my grandson some day if he is a guitar player.
