That would be cool. Is Christian Rock a big thing in the USA? It certainly seems to get mentioned a lot in forums and on Harmony Central reviews - lot's of guys mentioning how they play mostly worship music (I assume they mean Christian worship ;D) You don't hear so much about it in the UK, in fact I can't think of any UK bands that were specifically Christian. Unless of course you count Cliff Richard I am a big fan of Christian Rock, My wife and I saw Chris Tomlin a few months ago. Our church plays 4 contemporary songs every Sunday. So I have really enjoyed them. It is amazing that a lot of the songs have a classic rock feel. In the US they are about 1/3 of all music sales. Phil

Oh No!
ZZ Top - and it's all Mojo's fault.
I'll get back to Creedence but I've been smitten with overdriven riff fever...................................

Some different phrasing ideas would be nice. I think I would like to work on some hybrid picking stuff, and get some more double stop activity going in my playing. I found a few stupid good players on youtube to get inspired by. What do you guys think? Anything pop out at you that might help? I just feel the need to grow a bit more as a player.

I haven't been playing long (just a couple of months and wasn't devoting a whole lot of time to it during that period - although that has changed with the purchase of my new SG!) so I am trying to learn some simple songs right now (any suggestions would be hugely appreciated).
Last night I started working on Photograph by Def Leppard. I am also playing around a tiny bit with Smoke on the Water but I've put that aside in favour of Photograph.

You can find all sorts of songs at this site: bettylou.zzruss.com/All of the songs feature their chord progressions and most of them have a MIDI example of the song. I'm sure you can find songs that you like there and most of the songs only require that you use only three or four chords (much like Mojo's videos).
