Mine was Ace Frehley of KISS.............shut up, it's not that funny. He was cool....in a macabre kind of way. ;D I was 14 for goodness sake.

;D ;D ;D It is funny. I would have kept that quiet
With a handle like Happy Jack obviously Pete Townshend was and still is
First guitarist I really listened to was Rory Gallagher though

Chuck Berry when I was younger, but Stevie Ray Vaughan made me want to learn to play.

Started out being Zal Climinson from SAHB when I was in my teens and he still is one of my favourites, rumoured to be writing a book which I'm looking forward to reading if it ever comes out. I'd have to say that that now it's Stevie Ray Vaughan. Or maybe BB King or Johnny Winter. Maybe should get a mention too...........although not much guitar on this track which he made with his grandson I might be here a while

When I was a kid I listened to my mother's Rock and Roll 78's so initially I guess it was Buddy Holly. The first Rock album that really blew me away was Sticky Fingers by the Rolling Stones. That album was a revelation to me! So Keith Richards was the man so far as I was concerned.

Ok, don't laugh but my first guitar hero was Brian May from Queen, that said I still think he is great.

It started off for me with Buddy Holly, then Chuck Berry, then Yngwie Malmsteen years later. Now that I actually know guitar, it's probably John Petrucci.
