I hate it when that happens. The churches we play can be a little rough sometimes. He was a sport about it though. Can't imagine Axl "the primadona" Rose handling that well. It was kind of cool when he air guitar'd for a second as well.

Yeah I saw this video, and it's both sad and ridiculous. If I was Slash I'd be looking for some blood.

Is it me, or was he wicked pitchy in his bends even before the "attack"?

Running full pelt into that monitor had to hurt. If he didn't enjoy his stage dive / dirt faceplant the mob probably got him.
No not just you Mojo, esp that first bend in the solo sounded like he didn't quite hit the note, adjusted it, then released it badly. On the one hand it happens, but on the other how many times has he played the song. Fresh strings will give out on you sometimes, but I'm sure he has a more than capable guitar tech?

I read somewhere that Clapton still practices his bending regularly. If it's important enough for EC then we all better keep at it. ;D

Always good to work on left hand technique. Would be nice to be a left-handed player on a right-handed guitar like Mark Knopfler; I'm sure it contributes to his super clean sound having that extra strength there. Might buy myself a set of grips again.
