to me the best and most famous lick of all time has to be Jonny B. Good by Chuck Berry.I don't know anyone who hasn't tried to play it or anyone that hasn't heard it. I bet the first few notes of that song are what started the term "lick"in the first place. Hey Mojo, how about a little demo of that lick for us guys?

yep, I still use different forms of that lick all the time. If you go to myspace.com/crossfiregospelband and listen to Run Back Home, the last solo in that song I do a couple of blatant ripoffs of Chuck's lick. The first and last solos are me and the middle is our other guitarist Ron.

Lala, I still get goose bumps. Watched a show one night about Clapton and they said there were 11 guitar tacks between Eric and Greg for this song.
