Found this while surfing:
BERLIN — The German rock band Scorpions is bringing down the curtain on a career spanning more than four decades. The band, known for its early 1990s hit "Wind of Change" among others, said on its Web site Sunday that "we agree we have reached the end of the road." It said it would end its career with a final album – "Sting In The Tail," to be released in March – and a tour that will start in Germany in May and take it across the world "over the next few years." Guitarist Rudolf Schenker founded the band in Hanover in 1965. Singer Klaus Meine joined a few years later. Both men are 61.

First live band I ever saw a long. long time ago.
Free Trade Hall Manchester - the first 15 or so rows of seats were ripped out and put in a pile in the middle of the venue

The French man in me remembers the young ladies with whom I danced on some of their slower tunes

I remember playing "The Zoo" and "Love Drive" way back in a band way back in high school. I saw them a few times back in the early 80s. GREAT live band. Always thought Jabs and Schenker were great in their own different ways. Nobody ever gives kudos to rhythm players but they should and Rudy was as good as anyone.
