... I am psyched. I so love that 2-bolt design: My understanding is that she used to be a Guitar of the Week: Shipped today, I should get her in 5 to 6 days. Can't wait.

Thanks guys, but you know what's weird though....all that money in the Andy and the guitar I've totally fell in love with is a parts Strat I received in a trade several months ago. 01 US maple neck with an 07 US body, Bare Knuckles pups and a Fatocaster switch I installed later. As Happy Jack says...it just sings to me. Next up is trem king and some locking tuners. Maybe get a Buzz Feiten job done on her.

Hi guys, lovely looking guitars. I have a question for you though, why are two bolts better than 4?

The story goes that many years ago, Clapton visited Gruhn Guitars and bought several strats. Took them home and picked parts from each which ultimately became Blackie--seen round the world to the delight of millions. That was before the day of the signature strat, of course.

Les, If you look at Mojo's pic of the 2 bolt neck you can see how Tom Anderson makes a kind of hex shape at the base of the neck so it fits tight to the body and sits low in the pocket. What you can't really tell there though is how the body rounds back into the neck at that joint. The transition to the higher frets on these guitars is incredibly smooth. The two bolt recessed setup doesn't need a bolt plate. The offset bolts and hex pocket combine for a very strong and very smooth situation. Not to mention the flawless fret work incredible neck, body, electronics and finish work that you get with one of his guitars. If you ever get a chance to try one you really should. It is guitar craft at it's finest.

I saw the price tag on Mojo's guitar, I don't think there is much chance of me trying one out. Unless of course I fly over to New England and Mojo let's me try his, it would certainly be cheaper than buying one. ;D
