Ok got bored waiting for my G&L, have ordered me some Tonerider Rebel P90s for my Epiphone EM-1. I'll get a nice surprise when I see what pots are on it (cos I've been lazy and haven't looked!) and might replace those. Should be interesting

Well need a sound check soooon. Yes, please! I don't have any guitars with P90s in them, and I've been thinking that whenever I get enough funds to get another guitar, I might get a P90 equipped one. I've looked at some videos of guys playing their P90-equipped guitars, and I have not liked them for one reason or another. Some of these guys are playing music I don't like and some have shown that their guitars hum excessively with P90s. For whatever reason, I am not sold on the P90 sound yet. Maybe you can change my mind.

Hmmm, well had them at practice today. Played them on some songs where I usually use my Strat. In brief... more volume and gain. I could drop back the volume to clean up pretty nicely. The EM-1 has nice sustain now too. very clear sounding across the board. I like em I'll do a sound file when I have some time

I like em I'll do a sound file when I have some time I considered these in my Schecter but went for the AC2 I have now decided I don't like humbuckers (except for the AC2s on my Schecter and my SDs on my custom and Godin) so I may get some Tonerider P90s and put them on my old Vintage V100 for a laugh

humbuckers keep tricking me, it's annoying. In the shop I play around a bit and think cool, then I get home and play for a bit longer and start losing interest. I looked for a while at some humbucker fender tele's that you could coil split, but decided no eventually. I've basically had to swear off them heheh

Head on over to the video clips section. When I did the S-500 several songs demo, I also picked up my Epiphone EM-1. The amp was left on the same settings as for the S-500. The P90's are not as loud as you'll hear, tho tonally still pretty nice EDIT: I should also note - MAN did I notice the difference from the G&L medium jumbo's coming down to whatever tiny frets epiphone put on the EM-1. Though to be fair I've had to get used to the S-500 compared to pretty much all my other guitars heh
