That's gotta sting, seen this before I think. I like how he starts messing up, then looks around at the bass player and drummer like it's their fault (it's always the drummers fault don't you know). Drummer plays louder to try and cover too... ahh the joys of live playing. The important thing is not to stop and look around like you made a mistake, and just keep going!

The important thing is not to stop and look around like you made a mistake, and just keep going! If you make the same mistake twice it's blues, if you make it three times it's jazz.

I've seen EC accidentally play a fret too low, stop, then correct for his next riff. also doing further on up the road I've heard him sing one of the verses, then accidentally sings it again (realising he's repeated himself), but then doesn't try to fix the problem and sings it a third time Phil Collins starts singing too early on In The Air Tonight on one of my Montreux discs, during a loud guitar part also playing with EC. They both smiled. BB breaks a string at Montreux, keeps singing while unwinding the old string, his conductor comes along with a new string and slots it in to the bridge. BB winds it around the tuning post a couple times then starts winding. Lucille has these cool little pop out levers in the tuners. Like an extra handle you can pop out. Very cool looking, I want some! Albert Collins is probably one of my favourites where one string goes out of tune. He plays it, realises it's too low, tunes it up while the note's still ringing (it sounds like a weird bend!), then keeps on going without missing a beat. The Master of the Telecaster!
