Mojo I see you use this guitar in some of your videos. Just wondering would it be a good guitar for a beginner? Also how does it sound unplugged vs a full size acoustic?

It's a great guitar with which to start... I still have it!
It's a shallow bowl, so it doesn't sound great compared to a full body acoustic, but it's a great grab and go guitar, to say nothing of a couch jamming guitar. And if you plug it in, it's an Ovation and sounds like one!

I really like he way it looks and I'm always having to look what my fingers are doing so I was thinking the thinner body would help. Couch jamming..well thats got me all over it. I'm looking to get another guitar soon so who knows.

I have two ovations , an old celebrity with a deep back that I have on perminent loan to my receptionist's daughter who is recovering from bone cancer. It was alway a good sounding guitar, really nice on the amp. Alittle hard to hold onto at time in the sitting position. I just bought an elite with the deep countor back. I like it alot The advantage of the deep back is better sound off the amp. Tough to beat the sound and the price of Ovation.

I found a dealer about 2 hours or so away from me. I would love to get my hands on one just to see how it feels. i have seen some good prices on the net but to me that would be like buying a car and not test driving first. Do you guys recommend any more acoustic/electrics? I live in one of those 1 red light towns, which is not bad until you want something
