Hey, I don't know if you still take requests but I would really appreciate it if you could post some kind of simplified version of Tears In Heaven. There's a plethora of vids on how clapton plays it what with the thumb on the g and all but I feel like this song could definitely be simplified, I could be wrong though.
Either way, if you take a look at this then thank you.

I tried strumming through it before. Add a few little hammer-ons to the chords and it sounds pretty good. There's still quite a few chord changes in it tho + a bridge.

I've tried picking it up plenty of times, but I barely make any progress each time. I only know the opening riff

i found the best way to learn it was to break it down in to sections and to just play those sections over and over until you get them up to speed , sounds boring but believe me i got a great feeling of achievement and a big smile on my face when i got it up to speed . then you just add the first up to speed section to the second and so on and then you are there :-) the thumb wrapping around the neck to play the low e is quite simple too the only thing is that in the chorus there are a few barre chords , how are you with those ? from memory there is definately an f sharp minor a c sharp a b minor 7 and an f an f sharp 7 (i think !!!! ) but they are all fairly simple chords with scary names lol anyway if i can help you in any way at all please ask

yea I've been trying again lately the thumb on the E was just intimidating for no reason but I'm starting to get it, as for barre chords they're fine. playing lots of jack johnson helps, there's some I have troubles with but none that I remember seeing in any tears in heaven tutorials.
doesn't mean I wouldn't like a mojo certified version though! ;D
