This is a quick shot of my brother's 'new' 52 Les Paul. I know it's not a Tele but this has major vibe. It was made in the first 3 months of production. The pots are dated October 1951. My brother bought it in the '70's, painted black, with a maple neck with inlays facing the wrong way. My brother stripped off the hardware and paint but never did more. Gord Williams of GM Vintage Restorations had a new neck made, applied the original holly headstock overlay and refinished the body in nitro, and put the original style bridge on it. He machined the bridge down so the action is pretty nice. Pictures don't do this justice. Oh and it sounds killer! Cheers all David Attachments:

Purely awesome!! I am so much a Tele fan but I believe that I could be equally as happy with Paul with P90's. And a gold top is just icing on the cake. My absolute favorite color for a Paul.

That's awesome. Just out of curiosity, what's the estimated appraised value of that beast?

I remember when I saw my first gold top, still smitten. Thats a beauty and a beast all rolled into one.
