I have recently ordered a few pedals and a power source and was thinking of designing and making (or having a joiner friend do it) one. My question is; You have set your pedals up in the order that you want and you have to connect them, is it as simple as plugging the power source in and connecting the daisy chain connecters to the pedals? This is the power supply I have orderd www.andertons.co.uk/power-supplies/pid9393/cid591/powerbank-dc9x-10-way-fx-pedal-power-supply.aspIm assuming the connectors in the pic will power 10 pedals?

The power supply in the link is not a daisy chain system (which is good IMO). It appears to have 10 isolated power taps at 100 milliamps per tap and single connectors for each pedal. Most pedals don't pull near 100 ma. Just be sure to check the pedal specs to make sure you use the proper connector cable (ie: center negative, center positive) and that it is either 9, 12 or 18 volt. Most are center negative 9 volt and if any aren't, the power supply instructions should tell you what to do. If you have any trouble or questions send me a PM and I'll try to look up the specs and give you a hand.

Cheers Roadking
I called Andertons prior to placing my order and they said that the pedal I have bought should be fine with the power supply.
I order the;
TC Polytune Tuner Behringer Blues Overdrive Behringer tp300 tremelo pedal Behringer c0-600 stereo chorus The Worm Electro Harmonix The Worm Vibrato & Tremelo Pedal
The power supply is out of stock and is due to be delivered to me in 7-10 days so wont be able to hook it all up, which is a good thing as I can have a couple of weeks to make my board.

Kevina, The only pedal on that list that may be a little weird is the EH worm. Some of the EH stuff takes a mini phone jack connector. Not sure about the worm. I think HJ has one so he will know. I'm very interested in the poly tune and would love your impressions of it. Enjoy the GAS!!! RK

I am going to return one of the trem pedals but wanted to try both. Yeah the polytune looks good, you can strum all strings and it will show you which ones are out of tune or you can pluck individual strings and do it that way/. This is the review that sold it to me www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwfQY0879Ic

The EHX Worm power supply should be supplied with the pedal - mine was. It is however the same as the Boss type power jack - this is a 2.1mm centre negative jack
RK is correct though some of the EHX stuff does take mini jack connectors but adapters are available for these. The EHX Nano range uses the same power supply jack as the Boss
It does seem that the majority of modern pedals use this type of jack with a 9v supply - not all but a great many
RK although I tend to agree in principle that having isolated power supplies seem better then a "daisy chain" what is your reasoning for this? Is it that each pedal will get a minimum supply of 100ma and not have issues with power drop? or is it a noise issue? I would appreciate the wisdom of your much greater age and wider experience
I get a little bit of noise on my daisy chain supply and wondered if replacing it with a power bank will stop this. The power supply and attached daisy chain was sold as noiseless by a well respected supplier
Kev, I wish you had mentioned you wanted a Blues Overdrive - mine is up for sale haha never mind!
Polytune looks good but expensive - I will stick with the two free tuners on the side of my head

The reasoning for isolated taps is ground loops. Which is one of the big reasons for noise. so yes....noise. Not that I could hear it at my age.
