3 months ago i was looking for a gibson traditional pro goldtop(had to get one). found out they only made 100 and they were gone. went to a guitar center and he told me his rep. would make one for me "special from gibson". I paid for it and still haven't gotten it. I then find out they rereleased the goldtop model and i can walk into any guitar center and pick one up today if i wanted. now i have to wait for my special order to come in. What an idiot i am, got really suckered

Was the one you ordered special in any way? Such as pickups, wiring, neck dimension, or the like? If not, why not see if they will take your special make as their stock and you take one from their inventory? Could be too though that your special make might have a little more TLC involved in it. Might want to wait it out.

nothing custom on the guitar. Guess store policy is i have to get the one that was ordered for me.this way the store won't lose out on a possible sale if i take a guitar out of thier stock.actually found one in a store a month ago and asked if something could be done but they wouldn't budge. i wish i could just cancel the whole deal because i was lied to, but you can't cancel a special order. Always thought guitar center cared for thier customers- yeah i was fooled. don't even want to think about what happens if there is something wrong with it when it arrives!!!!
