Right guys can you humour me for a bit longer? Here is a clip of guitar B played through my Verbzilla reverb and Boss Blues Driver pedals. Do you think it improves the tone/sound of the guitar? Does it get rid of the "thin" sound some of you identified? This is important to me so please give me your thoughts. Thanks Les. soundclick.com/share?songid=8919675

It sounds better. I can still hear the difference between guitar A and guitar B, but guitar B (on take 2), sounds a lot closer to guitar A.

I thought it sounded excellent. The tone was full and bluesy. Can't ask anything more out of a guitar. Your playing was good too, I am working on that piece to , not up to your speed yet.

All is now revealed: Guitar #A is my Hohner semi hollowbody, which has a special place in my heart being my first semi an all. Guitar #B is the new (to me) Sheraton, which is a beautiful looking guitar. (I always wanted a sunburst) My problem is that I can only keep one of them and I was having real difficulty in deciding which one to let go to a new home. So thanks for your input guys. I think that as I can get good Bluesy tone from the Sheraton by using the guitar controls more than I'm used to and/or effects pedals. So that it matches the Hohner for sound and because it is so lovely to look at, I am going to have to let the Hohner go. So if anyone fancies a fantastic wee semi hollowbody just let me know

I'm glad you hold my opinion in such high regard that you picked what was CLEARLY the right choice.

Well.... nothing dude. It's just not a Sheraton. I've always loved those things. They just have a great vibe and the mini hums and all that cool stuff. Not dissing the loser guitar, I mean the one that lost the contest. I mean....aw forget it. ;D ;D Enjoy the Epi, I'm glad it won. It's the one I would have chosen anyway. Man, you Scots are touchy. ;D ;D
