Hi all, I just joined. Found this forum through MoJo's youtube vids. I am just a newby in the guitar world, but it is becoming an addiction. I have always have :learn to play guitar" in my personal bucket list, and recently took the plunge, bought an acoustic and started strumming. Recently went out an bought an electric and started taking lessons. Have taken about 5 or 6 lessons so far and am having a blast.

Hi Chazb, welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of us on here are newbies too but we also have a smattering of experienced guitarists who are happy to share their knowledge. (thank goodness).

Welcome Chazb! I think you'll like it here. It's like one big (but not too big), happy family here! I belong to three other guitar-related forums (two of them really big), and this is my favorite!

Not to sound like a dummy, but for the longest time, I couldnt figure out what "GAS" meant. I saw a book in my local guitar store with it in the title. So, i guess my question is; if guitar acquisition syndrome is abbreviated "GAS", is the same condition with amps called "AAS"?
