It's looking like I got a new job today ;D It means I'll be spending some time away from home and instead of watching shitty TV or going out drinking ( most nights )I'm going to take the guitar with me to cram in the practice. (even my playing is 100% better than the shit on TV..) Since I'll be staying in hotels or B&B's, I'll need to keep it quiet so was thinking about a Boss Loop Station or a Line 6 pod - or similar- with the output through headphones. Any advice about my best options would be really appreciated, especially by the guy in the the room next door ....

Pocket pod, Vox amplug. Amplugs cheap but a bit one dimensional. An off the wall one to think about Tascam MP GT1 - which I have got and I think it is pretty good www.tascam.com/products/mp-gt1.htmlGood luck with the new job Wully

You might look into the Digitech line of processors. They are pretty inexpensive and do a good job IMO. I have a RP50 (not made anymore, and their smallest processor at the time). It works great, can be used with headphones, and only cost me $50. Their new line of products has a similar model for the same price.
Congratulations on the new job!

Hope the new job goes well Wully. Sorry no advice to offer on your predicament but like your idea of taking the guitar with you. Bound to keep you out of mischief. :-)

I have a Boss loop station that I use all the time but I like Happy Jacks suggestion. I have the new DR-01 that I use for many different things and find their equipment to be good. Just have to be carefull about being too rough with them. They are not built for the stage like the looper. Playing the drums /metrodome really makes you a better player with these toys. Phil
