Good question. That answer is... You don't HAVE to, and you probably shouldn't unless you really know what you're doing. So in short, since you're asking the question and he doesn't know, I wouldn't change the scale at all.
It sounds like you're talking about a I IV V in the key of B, so B penta should be fine all the way.

as far as the Martin's go, I don't think they actually manufacture strings, which means they probably buy them and repackage them. Hence, you could probably find a set of Martin's in another package and pay less. I've never used Cleartones, but you've got me thinking, so I might just do that. Thanks!

I think it's a good idea, but there should be a limit to one song per person per week, so we don't all get flooded with 25 songs from one guy. Just a thought...
