"Absolutely, under no circumstances at all are customers allowed to play "Stairway to Heaven," "Sweet Child o' Mine," or "Smoke on the Water" while trying out guitars." — Sign in the window of a music store on Denmark St, in England.
I want them to put this up at my local store too! ;D

One of my all time favorites. I watch this a couple times a week for inspiration. I played a $6000 Martin yesterday at GC but still didn't sound like this. Guess it's back to the practice room. Thanks for posting this.

That was fun, not my thing but an interesting idea. I thought you got close to the kazoo tone for E.C.'s San Francisco Bay Blues there one time, but a kazoo would be cheaper! HA HA.

Yeah, it's impossible to name five, twenty five maybe. But I didn't want to run the thread out too many pages. OK , just one more, Danny Gatton!

I'd be curious to know what that translates into in 2011 dollars It's about $1820.00 in 2009 dollars. Really not to far off a new one today.

Very cool, thanks Mojo. Can you believe those cost about $250.00 back then. Now one would fetch 100 times that. Of course, I don't think my dad had 250 in 1959, I know I didn't.

I got that tip from reading an interview of Mark Knopfler, loved it, stole it I've been doing it ever since and it's been one of the most consistently successful tricks ever. For me anyway Wow. I'm stealing from Mark Knopfler and Mojo. How lucky can a guy get? ;D
