i use thin picks i think they are 0.75 thin picks are a lot more forgiving than thicker ones as they dont tend to accentuate th strings that you hit when you shoudnt be hitting them it took me ages to get used to picks i used to use fingers to pick and my thumb for strumming but when i started guitar lessons my teacher got me to use picks as he said i should use my fingers because i choose to and not because i cant use a pick his motto is work on your weak points i am slowly startin to use thicker picks as it is good practice for accuracy

hi all havent been on for a while but i thought id come on to let you know that im having a guitar custom made for me by a guy called colin scott i was asking him recently how much it would cost and he said anything from £999 upwards dependant on the hardware installed etc so i said ok i want you to build me a guitar but it turns out he is already in the process of making me one !!! its already been cut from the wood (mahogany) my mum and step father have paid for it for my 40th birthday next year the really sad thing is my step father passed away a couple of weeks ago and wont get to see it god bless xxxx the wood for it came from some massive door architraves at chelsea football club which colin removed !!! my guitar teacher has the exact one im getting (not sure what colour im getting though) it will probably take 3 -5 months to make as its his hobby rather than job and waiting for glue to dry etc etc this is the guitar im getting
and yes that is my teacher
