Hey RK, I'll try the Epi when I find one. I missed the first Artcore that was near me on Ebay. I was in Cedar Creek (Bastrop county) rehabbing an RV! 98 and humid every day but we had a ball. Glad to be back and see that everybody here is good.

Hi guys, I'm just back from Texas, where I was lucky to play music with some great new people who are friends of my brother in law. This new friend loaned me his new R Taylor acoustic. What a trip that was, first time I ever played a guitar that cost more than my car! Anyway, just today picked up a Peavey Classic 30 amp. 30 watts of pure tube power! Amazing tone, even with just my old Cort LP copy. Now I want to find a ES-335 copy that I can afford. I'm already jonesin for a Baja Tele so no need to push me that way. Just wondering if anybody here has opinions about semi-hollow guitars? Maybe an Artcore? What do you guys think?

Just checked their website, wow, my advice, keep the son, sell everything else! Beautiful guitar, can't wait for a sound clip.

Sad day today, just found out Herb Ellis passed away on Sunday. I thought about the time I saw him with Barney Kessel years ago. Of course that started me thinking of the greats and near greats I've seen live over the years. I've been real lucky, the list is long, but I wonder who you have seen perform that had a lasting effect on you. I'll start the list with my top three: Chet Atkins Les Paul Harry Chapin
Lets hear yours

Cool, I'm in the homebuilding industry too. I'm not a pro, just a committed amateur with a van full of tools. I do swing a hammer better than I can play the guitar. ;D

Both sounded very close in the upper register but I really like the chunky bottom end on A. B was too thin IMHO.

Just tell her it could be worse, you could want the Brazilian rosewood D100 thats 100 grand. She should be happy that you're so reasonable. (good luck!)

That was my first thought too, but the dater I used didn't recognize it. That was when I guessed at a C. It is a pretty strange animal, I just wish it was closer so I could look at it. Oh well, couldn't afford it anyway.

Thanks RK I'll check it out when I'm down there. No DFW for me this trip. Building cabins at my Brother in laws place so I'll be hauling a van full of tools. I'll be hunting good radio stations the whole way. I have always loved Austin too. I was stationed in San Antonio with the USAF about a million years ago and spent a lot of good time up there.

I took a guess at the first character being a C and the dater came back with "This guitar is from the Collectors Series made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - Pre CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): Cannot be determined from serial number " If the price is right it may be worth a look. How much are they asking?

Mohi, very happy you fixed the link. Very good playing of one of my favorite songs. I hope to be able to play that at one year.

Found a new radio station in Dallas that plays just Red Dirt Texas music. It's a cross between country, blues, swing, rock, gospel. Lots of local and statewide artists with kind of low budget recordings but chocked full of soul. Very cool stuff. I may be on this one for a while. Hey RK what freq is that? I'll be heading down to Austin in a few weeks and would like to check it out.

Hey Roadking, 449 GBP is 676 US. Doesn't sound like such a deal to me.
