I am looking for a Tokai made in Japan ES 160. The model number is not too important as Tokai change them every year. The guitar is a copy of the Gibson ES 335, the one I'm after has block inlays and must be either sunburst or tobacco burst.
I have googled it without success, I have contacted all the Tokai dealers I know off and even phoned the UK Tokai importer. I can't find one anywhere in the UK.
So if anyone on the forum happens to know of a shop that has one in stock I would really appreciate the heads up.
Thanks
Les

I'll keep my eye out for one. Right now I've got some major GAS for a ES125.

Guitars Ha, where do you find the open air bibs like that. Sweet. I have been looking at the Gibsons 335 again. My wife just keeps shaking her head. Life is cruel.

Nice one Bro, which model - the good deal or the really good deal? Thanks HJ, well the email says it is the good deal. But this Photo suggests it could still be the really good deal: I'll let you know once it arrives.

I did a recording back in the eighties and needed a strat. They brought me a Tokai. At first I was put out by them bringing me a fake fender. After we recorded the track I would have bought it on the spot had it been for sale. It's the only Tokai I've ever played but it was a fantastic guitar. In my experience the Japanese copy guitars from Tokai and some from Fender Japan have been as good if not better than the original US counterparts.
