Not really working on a particular song at the moment but I'm working on my slide chops intently. Set up the Tele as a hybrid for slide and standard work but I'm finding the acoustic much easier to work with. Lot's of fun actually.

Humm, so this may sounds corny but, "Wonderful Tonight". While doing a YoutTube search for it I came across Mojo's vid, and that is what got me hooked to the site.
I've always wanted to play, and I darn well am going to learn, so it is funny as the fist real song I'll learn was one of Mojo's also.
I'm so right handed that the left has always been all but useless....so you can see where my fretting is where my biggest weakness is. Anyone have an extra 'right' had that I could trade you for this lousy left:>
Peace~

Believe it or not I'm trying to cop a violin solo we put on a song with a combination of slide and fretted notes.

RK violin stuff is also achievable with a bit of volume swelling and some vibrato. Volume pedal is easier which I've heard Mark Knopfler recommend for movement economy, pinky finger around the volume knob on the guitar is the fancy way to do it, but I find it too tough to do on a Tele. Roy Buchanan does it beautifully, Joe Bonamassa did a Godfather inspired thing on a version of Blues Deluxe I heard once (which is interesting cos I happened upon the Godfather inspired lick a few years ago when I was playing around with a minor scale). Ahh here it is back when he was a strat guy
