Loud enough - with a vintage coil on a strat you can get it to 10 on the clean channel and it is crystal clear - add a bit of gain and it is loud Just right for home practice - but I do play loud The Cub12 will be louder

cub 12 will be louder ? lol thank god for the 1w output ( its actually less than 1w its 0.75 ) but you hit the nail on the head in your last post .. you said the words just right for home practice after all we arent playing the albert hall here are we ? and its not about how loud it is (well not totally ) but about how it sounds loud is good though if it keeps its tone

thought id go for the 12 R what do you reckon ? Sorry the Laney is 15 watts not 12 - loud Mofo 12 or 12R - well for around £30 more you get a digital reverb - depends what it sounds like. A decent quality reverb new is going to be £60 at least I would go for the 12R I think

thats the way i was looking at it for an extra £30 or so i can have some reverb and i reckon on a laney it will be at least half decent

I use an 'ENGL Screamer 50'. I think it's an amazing amp, very versatile. It's German, so it's build like a tank and very reliable

I had a Laney VC 30 212. Class A 30 watt. Massively loud, 2x12 speakers massively heavy. Sold it cos of this in the end. BUT one of the best reverbs I've heard. I'm sure it won't disappoint

I also didn't know much about ENGL amps.. Apparently they are very popular in the USA, it's a bit of a counterpart for Mesa Boogie. Mesa Boogie is very expensive in Europe, and ENGL is on the expensive side in the US. I tried many amps in the shop (Marshall, Randall, Blackstar, VOX, Line6,..), they couldn't compare with the ENGL. The screamer 50 can handle about anything, country rock, blues, hard rock, even metal... has a nice reverb on it as well. Highly recommended!
