News of deaths caused by Tornadoes in the Southern states of America is all over the media here (that is when they are not talking about the Royal wedding).
Hope you guys are ok. Looking at a map it seems you might be far enough west to have avoided the one that hit Alabama and killed so many people. I certainly hope so.

Thanks Les, The tornado's started about 40 miles south of where I live. We had a lot of high winds and hail but thankfully no tornado around here. According to the news there were well over 100 tornado's that touched down from Texas to the east coast. The worst of which hit in Alabama. That's a day's drive from where I live. Gman lives about a days drive west of me. I'm not sure if they got much of the mess or not. Again thanks so much for your concern. BTW the Royal wedding is all that's talked about over here as well. My wife had to leave for the airport at 3:30 am our time so I actually saw quite a bit of it. Prince William's bride is quite lovely and projects a very regal air. They were quite the stunning bride and groom. Ah to be 29 again........but only if I knew everything I know now.

Hi Les, thanks for your concern! As RK said, I am farther west, and although it is very far from all of the devistation, we also had high winds in the days prior to all of the tornados farther east (even a little hail). It seems that whenever we get bad weather here, the storm system just continues east and continues getting worse as it hits the Plains. We have a lot of mountains in my area and that prevents storm systems from ogranizing into deadly events as they do farther east of the Rocky Mountains.
For RK: Glad to know that you were missed by the storms and are okay!
I haven't been much on here lately partly because of activities related to my son's school. I went on a field trip with the school yesterday (one of the few non-windy days we have had), and two weeks ago I had my first substitute teaching gig. I might have more now in May. I haven't even watched much TV lately. I barely caught some footage of the Royal Wedding this morning on one of the news shows. They make a lovely couple, that's for sure!

Glad you guys are ok.
Managed to avoid the whole Royal Wedding yesterday ;D but they were still going on about it on the radio this morning. Sounds like it went well for them. Quite a few Americans interviewed in the crowd who enjoyed the pageantry of it all.
