Well my life has been a pain here lately. My wife started having chest pains and I took her down to the hospital . Her father had open heart surgery at the age of 40. She had a heart cath which was normal, great news. Then we have been preparing to put geothermal heating and cooling in our house and had removed some of our stair railing so we can get the parts down stairs and my wife feel down and got this: 36 stitches. It went clear down to the muscle. She also has so many bruises on her back side I can't count them all . She wouldn't let me take a picture either. My daughter and son in-law are moving out of their house after prolonged damage in the flood a few years ago. So I just bought a house to let them rent while they get back on their feet. I swear I signed 40 pages of legal crap to make this happen, what we don't do for our grand kids. Just click on the picture and see my grand kids and their new rides. I just don't know why "PaPa" is their favorite. OK I love to spoil them. We then burned up an amp at church that I had to replace . And finally my son gets married this week end. I have orders to show up, shut up and bring my check book. I'll have to ask my wife if I can borrow it, not sure I have ever had my hands on it before. My mandolin building has come to a screaming stop. Hope to get started again next week. Maybe the next few weeks will be better.

Damn! You're having a rough time of things yeah women are funny about having pictures taken of their front side, let alone back side so I'm not surprised I'm usually the portable bank too Just keep on trucking through, you'll make happen what needs to and come out the other side. Hopefully with most of your hair too I'm sure mine's around here somewhere....

Sorry things are not going too well for you right now Phil. Just hang in there though, it's bound to get better! No doubt before long you'll have a new set of Grand kids to spoil now that your son is getting married. :-)

Thanks guys. Your right Les, I do like my grand kids, the more the merrier. I am blessed that I am in a position to hel[p out the family when they are in need. But it is affecting my guitar time. If they don't straigthen up soon I may have to trade them in for a family of Fenders. HA HA.

Thanks for the prayers. RK. Just got two more thing off my plate, no I didn't shoot the cat. My son just got married this week end to a very nice girl, and all went very well. The only thing that suffered was my check book. My 60 birthday came and passed with no injuries too. So back to my mandolin making..

pwfirst, it's good that you got all your annual bad luck out of the way early. You're a good planner. Joking aside, I'm glad your wife is fine. Mine went through a terrible time this past year with an untreatable thing called Frozen Shoulder (times 2), which is an affliction the medical arts presently have little knowledge of. Talk about feeling helpless. Anyway, I'm glad to read yours is on the mend. I'm assuming the stair railing got reinstalled?

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate two weeks! I hope your wife is feeling better by now. It's always nice to have someone new join the family - congratulations on your son's wedding! Oh, yeah, happy belated birthday! Now, do us proud and build that mandolin!
