I have had a wireless guitar system for several years but its hums when I am too close to our board. Since I also set up the sound in the church I am back there quite abit during setup and rehersal. So I am triing a new one. The audio-technica 2000 UHF series. Just got done using it and it is sure a step up from my old system. I can sit on the board and not a PEP, Don't tell any one I have been sitting on the board, they will think I am strange. This unit is clean and clear with excellen sound reproduction. I thought my older Audio- technica was OK but this is better. Can't really tell there is a difference from a direct plug in or wireless. For $277.00 I am happy with this buy. I expected to buy a Sure or Line 6 for much more money.

This is something that I've been curious about for years. I tried one back in the 80s when I used to run all over the place. It was great for jumping down off the stage and doing a solo standing on someone's table but now I'm just curious about it for convenience. Easier setup. Do you lose or gain anything tone wise with the newer models? RF interference? What are the plus' and minus' to these things? Inquiring minds want to know...

Good intel. I was looking at the Line 6 (great reviews) for a possible system. I did have an older AT system that worked okay but I traded it for something I needed more.

The new systems are much improved from the previous old AT that I had. This one is much cleaner and clearer. With 10 chanels you should no problems with interferience. The gain can be adjusted too. I did not have to adjust any thing while on the wireless system. Sure makes a very good sytem that I have used and the new Line 6 is getting good reviews. This new system that I got was over $100 cheaper than either of those units. I have several Line 6 pieces of equipment, I find that their higher end stuff is quiet good and their entry level products are just OK. I have played 2 times now with the new system. and I will be keeping it. I don't know how a system could be better.

I've been thinking about the line 6's also since they're on special at the moment. Unfortunately I have to pay for my holiday right now

Welcome to the other side of the loop dude. Dinner is served at five. Look me up if you need some dinner conversation. We could talk about what it was like when we were on top of things.
