It is a Japanese made Jedson copy of a Les Paul Black Beauty. Dates from the late 1960's/early 1970's. Given it's age it is in very good condition, no real fret wear and not badly marked at all. The neck is very comfortable to play, it fits nicely into the palm of my hand. I don't know enough about guitar necks to say whether it resembles a 1958 Gibson neck or an elephants trunk. But it does feel good. At some point in its life someone has installed a couple of Jackson stock pick ups. To be honest they provide a pretty good tone for Blues and Rock. She has a bolt on neck and while the guitar feels quite heavy she does not weigh as much as my Tokai Love Rock. However she has great sustain, especially with the gain turned up a wee bit. Overall I am very pleased with my latest acquisition and looking forward to trying her through the Vox AC4tv head and cab Santa is bringing me for Christmas!

Looks like a keeper for learning mods to me Dude - you want me to have a word with Lady Anne? That's a very kind of you Mr J. However for the sake of Peace on earth, particularly at this time of the year, I think it is best if I decline your generous offer.

Thank you chaps for your kind words. Looks like I'm going to get to do my first ever guitar repair!! The selector switch is broken. At least it's a nice easy repair to start on. Now where did I put that soldering iron?
