go to mandolincafe.com they have a chart with simple 2-finger chords. Learn those before you go I'll check it out. Thanks!

Must be some thing in the air, I was hunting yesterday for a Mandolin . Mostly A style around here. Ibaneze, Epiphone, Kentucky and Eastman. One F style Eastman. Like the Eastman the best. After a lot of research I am down to Kentucky or Loar both F models. One thing I noted when trying these little guys out is I don't know what I am doing and I had a hard time hearing the difference between cheap and expensive. The other thing is that these things get really expensive in a hurry. But I did save allot with my last guitar find so here I go.

If you want to save money, go with an A - not an F. The F is prettier, but much more expensive, with little to no impact on tone. This said, I got an F The Eastmans are sweet, so are the Kentucky. What are you trying to spend?
