It is finished. I have officially run out of money so although I left some deep wants to the future I'm really happy with what I ended up with. I ended up selling 9 out of my 12 pedals and then selling 3 more of the ones I bought to try out, then replaced all those. So here's how it turned out.
Guitar signal goes to: This1smyne Mini Buffer TC Electronics Polytune Hartman Compressor (Orange Squeezer circuit with added gain) Cmatmods Brownie (high gain OD) Lovepedal Kanji Eternity (low to med gain OD / tweed like) Barber 1/2 Gainer (dual LTD circuit with mid tweak / 808 circuit) Xotic EP Booster Ernie Ball VP Jr volume pedal Boss CE2 Chorus plugged into a single bypass looper Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo Reverb TC Electronics Nova Delay
As soon as everything gets here I'll get it wired up submit a pic.
Still on the want list is a EH Micro POG, TCE modulation modeler, CAE MXR wah pedal. But that will have to wait until funds allow.

Cmatmods look like they make some nice stuff. Their Super Sigma Drive looks strangely similar to an Ice 9 with individual tone knobs and the boost operates independently which I mentioned would have been nice to have in the Ice 9 (which did quite nicely on Sunday). I might look at their deeelay. cept I'm a bit skint now...

Rayden,
I had a Deeelay and regret selling it. It's a great sounding delay without being at all difficult to set up. Seems like every setting just sounded great with it and you can find them used for about 90 bucks. I love a great compressor. Ambient thickening or redneck squish. I love'em. Then again about the only pedal I can't find any use for is a ring modulator.

Wired it up today but haven't had a chance to "neaten" it yet. Love the tones possible with this setup. Very happy but definitely need just a few more to complete it. ;D

Hoooolyyyyyy crap..... Just so I know, what sort of music do you usually play? I don't really know the point of ring modulators - I can sound like barf without buying a box that makes it happen Can anybody educate me on a good ring modulation sound? I think you need a digitech whammy on your list Still looking at POGs but even the micro version is pretty expensive. Considering the Boss alternatives (OC3, PS6). Scratch that I just heard in a clip of the PS6, and you still get the annoying buzzing noise you get out of pretty much every pitch shifter I've heard/had. POGs sound like what they say on the tin. Local store had a line 6 compressor (tonecore constrictor) going cheap so I snagged that. Includes a gate which could be handy. Should even things out a bit.

My point exactly. ;D I play Country Rock for lack of a better term. Whammy pedals are too cool for school man. I'm sure I could find a jones for one of those as well. I took the new rig to rehearsal tonight and she performed admirably. The guys approved wholeheartedly and I can't wait to gig it next weekend.

That whole line of new TC pedals kills. The delay is especially cool. I think TC hit a homerun with the whole line.

The Ice 9 OD is doing nicely, and since we're a 3 piece I'm justifying that I need the 'help' from pedals. Most of the players I like play direct into amps, or with very few effects so I'm having to push myself into it a bit. Also trying to figure what I actually need over 'oo that sounds cool' and then never use. An old boss multi fx pedal I have is helping a bit with that - like oo what if I put such and such a pedal there - ok now I find a better sounding one. Since it emulates other boss pedals it's easier to see what to look for.
After our rehearsal on Sunday we had some time left so we just started an impromptu Texas Flood. I'll have to upload it - I don't think we've ever played it better.

I'm much the same way. I'll get a pedal that I think sounds great but won't have any place for it the songs we are doing (which is weird because we play all originals and I write my own parts ). Then I'll get a hair and sell them and try something else. I really do think the micro POG will be useful though in simulating 12 string stuff and the occasional foray into ultra low guttural testicle shaking sounds. My I want it cause it sounds cool and maybe someday I'll write a song it works in is a Fulltone mini deja vibe. that thing just rocks. that and a Fulltone Clyde deluxe. And of course an OCD cause I don't have that flavor covered and and and ....SOMEBODY STOP ME....... ;D

So keep it up, it's saving me a fortune! ;D

We can't stop, but we can encourage Compressor is doing its job. Handy that. I can play Wind Cries Mary now and the hammer ons actually come through the sound now instead of being lost in the chord sound. Need to tweak it, but a more balanced sound was the idea. With about mid way output, sustain on zip, and gate off it seems to do the business. I have a feeling there's some spank in there if I crank the gate and the sustain... and output.... tweaking is a saturday job tho. Just listening to it - I think I could actually drop the OD pedal, crank the output on the compressor, bump the gain on the amp a little, and get a pretty nice result too. But since the amp gives me 2 channels, plus the Ice 9 gives me a boost button, I can use several stages of gain which is kinda nice.
