Now why would you guys write such things about me. Like I'm totally obsessed or something. Like I just finished up my current board a month ago and I'm already ready to scrap it and start over. It's not like that in the last two years I've been through at least 50-60 pedals........OK, so maybe it is like that. BUT, if you were to ask my opinion, I would say get at least one of the lime green (808 circuit tubescreamer). But two is better cause then you could get the two really great tones that these guys do and you won't have to turn any knobs. Tones on the fly is what pedals are best for. And the two I would get would be a Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive and TS9 or TS808 that has been modded to switch between symmetric and asymmetric clipping. Or even better you could get a TS9 or TS808 and a Boss SD1 which is the same circuit with the opposite clipping so then you're even more "on the fly" and then................................ ;D ;D ;D Come'on, let me help.........Pleeeeeeeese

You see a pattern here? - The Soul Preacher is a fantastic pedal Mrs Jack went in to get the EHX Stereo Electric Mistress and said to the guy behind the desk "Is it addictive buying these pedals because he must have at least ten" and in Mrs Jack's words - "he just shivered, smiled and said only ten - it is the start and laughed - a really evil laugh and then walked back to the pedal cave"

I have the boss looper and it works well, use it for more practice than anything else. I bought the line 6 Pod X3 live which has everything plus the kitchen sink. Plus all the amp and cab models. Since I run through the main board of the PA. It works great for me. Plus I can preset every thing and only have to push on a pedal to get the custom sound I want. All the tones are endlessly adjustable. For about $500 it was an excellent choice for me. One thing to remember about guitar amps is that they have a very narrow sound dispersion. If you get off center of the center of the amp your guitar volume decreases rapidly. So I run through the PA so you can hear the guitar every where!!!!!! Ha HA HA (fiendish laugh)

I am so sorry I forgot where I was at for a minute, I wont let it happen again. The real reason I use the Pod X3 Live is that I am old and can't drag all those amps and boards around anymore. Plus with all the chrome on this board it looks like Harley Davidson made it. Chicks dig chrome.

LOL, yep chicks dig chrome LOL!!!! I've seen a few guys around with multi effect/modeling boards like that and I always think to myself "wow, what a great tone they have". I've owned one before, a Boss GT6. My only problems with them has been the programing thing and getting it right at unity volume. (not a top of my class kind of graduate) and then the thing of varying the signal to the board. Everytime I would try to use the volume knob on my guitar to reign back the tone it would get really choppy and sputtery sounding. I gave up and went back to stompboxes after that. The don't look as cool as a floorboard or rack unit (airplane cockpit kind of thing), nor do they have the Harley vibe. But my wife won't let me play with other chicks anyway. ;D

I'm still having trouble with individual stomp boxes. Oh and it sounds like our wives have similarities too.
