Really good RK - I have been listening to it in my car and there are couple of stand out tracks - but because the track titles are not showing on the stereo I don't know what they are called ;D ;D
If you get famous can I be your guitar tech? You could pay me in beer, steaks and JD ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm not looking to be famous but hey, if it happens your my guy. Besides who else could I get to work for root beer, meat and John Denver records? ;D

But I would need to bring HJ along because he actually could be a tech.

Well, finally got to listen to it. Played it to a full house and overall impressions were very positive.
I personally think that you guys sound excellent. A very professional package.
I also have to say that some of the vocal styles are "new" to me. Thought I detected a Johnny Cash influence on "in the Middle"
Liked the guitar work on "Run Back Home" the country rock style played alongside the "straight" rock style, particularly in the outro.
Liked "Walk With Me" a lot. Not my usual style, but a great tune. Who wrote that one?
I really liked the album.

Thank you Sir Les, I'm again very pleased that you liked the tunes and that they are received positively. All the basic songs were written by Randy Reeves our singer except for the last one which I co wrote with him. He brings in ideas and we jump on them like ants on molasses. The way it all fleshes out is this: Run Back Home: I played a Strat on the rhythm part and a Tele on the leads, Ron played a Tele. 1st solo is me, 2nd is Ron, outro solo is me. In the Middle: I play the acoustic on a Taylor and electric rhythm on a Tele, Ron plays all the solos on a Tele. Have I Got a Deal for You: I play the acoustic rhythm on a Taylor and electric rhythm on a Strat, Ron plays all solos on a Tele. Headed Home:: I played the rhythm parts on a Strat and a Taylor acoustic, I played all the slide and lead parts on a Strat. Streets of Gold: Ron plays rhythm and lead parts on a Tele, my rhythm parts are done on a Strat. In My Life: I played a Taylor acoustic and a Strat for the Rhythm parts, Ron played a Tele on leads Walk with me: I played all the rhythm parts on a Taylor acoustic and a Strat and all the lead parts on a Strat. Which Way are You Going: I played all the rhythm parts and lead parts on a Strat Southern Christian Country Style: I played the rhythm parts on a Taylor acoustic and a Tele and the slide parts on a Strat. Ron played all the lead parts on a Tele Jesus Party: I played all the rhythm and lead parts on a Tele. All done with lots and lots of pedals. ;D ;D And it would be all I ever wanted to be on an extended tour with you and Andy there. ;D ;D

RK That's some good some good Texas home spun religion I'm hearing there. My personal favorite was Walk with me. I just love that southern rock/ swing sound. Thought the production of the songs was very good too, I loved some of the guitar separation a lot. I'll send you some of my songs some time for your amusement.

Well RK I warned you. I did a quick recording of these in preparation for a full recording with a real singer latter. The link is to soundclick under band: phil first. There are four of my songs I wrote for church. Some of the songs, I used a new toy for the harmony Still working out the kinks. Remember as will all my songs "no laughing out loud".
