I had no idea that picking the right dog would be so hard but since I will be on my back for a while I think I need the sleepy one. At least I'll have some company and a loyal hound that will watch over my guitars . ;D

Well I am back!!!!! Had my surgery at 11:30AM Home at 7:30 PM. I woke up fast ate Jello and had a Sprite, took a pee and walked down the hallway all with in the 1s't hour of waking up. We may not be very sarmt?-sstrarmt? - smart ( must be the drugs)." But we are tough. Then I had a hamburger and and other sprite, they then took my IV out and in an hour was one my way. By the way didn't even take a pain Rx yet. Less pain now than before the procedure.
They drilled two holes in my low back at L4-L5 back and removed the disk bulging and arthritis that was causing my pain and numbness. Took 1 hour and 45 min total. Only instruction now is to walk and not to lift over 10# I'll take a guitar with me. Won't be needing the Dogs just yet. ;D

glad it all went so well Phil. A damn sight smoother than my experience. I was in hospital for a month over Jan/Feb this year and that was following a 5 week stay the spring before. So really pleased for you. Now's the time to get your wife to put on that little nurse number. :-)

Well my good luck just can't go away. You guys here in the US might have heard that we had a little dam failure here in good old Iowa on the Maquoketa River. Well I live on the bank of the river about 18 mi down from the dam. Lucky for me my house is up on a 20 ft bank. We ended up with 2 feet of backed up sewage in the basement. Nice smell. I sucked it out , washed it off, bleached it, and power washed it until it was clean. The good news was that my boots are 2 ft/ 1 in tall. ;D My neighbors were not as lucky, the flood water covered their first floors.

Good point Les. Went out and bought a trash pump that pumped 10,000 gal an hour. Took 4 hours to drain it. That is a lot of gunk.

That is a lot of gunk. 40,000 gallons - crikey and I though Les was full of Sh1t haha Good job you had your thigh length boots on eh Phil? My Sister and brother in Law lived in Iowa for a bit in Des Moines - he was working with NASA - clever bugger he is (but a bell-end at times)

More BAD/GOOD luck. My son just got engaged to a nice girl. They are getting married in April. He is 27 has his own condo, a paid off 2008 Mustang , a cute Beagle dog named Charlie, and a good job. His wife to-be is a new registered nurse. So what is the bad news, The wedding expenses are starting to take a bite out of my guitar budget. I'll suffer through it in silence.
