Hope you sorted your roof out dude
I have been away over the holidays and when I got back I collected my new car. ;D
So I spent all of Monday removing my dog cages and getting all the mud and dog hair out of my old car ready to give it back.
Been really busy at work as well which doesn't help.
Guitar has taken a back seat last couple of weeks

Glad to hear you guys are still alive and kicking ;D! I check in on this site (sometimes without logging in) several times a day, and I was surprised almost no activity was going on. That's what prompted my thread. Rocker: Hope you got your leak fixed! Les: Hope you're enjoying yourself! HJ: Congrats on the new wheels! Kev: Hope your favorite team won! Phil: I gotta hear this ;D! I've been trying to get over the major 'USA guitar' GAS I've been having for a while. Not gonna buy one (not yet, anyway) . I might get my hands on an inexpensive 'vintage' *cough* USA-made practice amp to compensate, though!

Been working, rehearsing, and gigging a bit. Played an outdoor park thing last Saturday during the day. It kind of sucked. We were invited by the city but I'm not sure they were taking into account the type of music we play. The park goers went to the farthest part of the park they could. It was so bad that I was trying out new vocal harmonies and guitar parts just to see if they would work. I didn't think it would matter since no one seemed to be listening. Saturday night was a two hour set at another venue. It was great. We were well received and had a great time. Traded a Strat for a Tele last week also.
Good to see everyone still alive and kicking.
Blessings on ya

Traded a Strat for a Tele last week also. I almost traded my Tele-style guitar for something else (was thinking about it anyway)! I have a Tradition CAB10T that I thought about trading or selling towards the purchase of a USA-made guitar. The volume control is not as effective as it could be and the neck pickup sounded too quiet on the Tradition, so it became my 'trading' guitar. Instead, I raised the neck pickup (had to take the pickguard off, which required almost taking off the neck - it was a pain). What an improvement! I decided I can live with the volume control issue, so it's a 'keeper' after all. Realizing the Tradition is a great guitar after all really helped me get over my GAS!

GETTING OVER GAS!!!! Ha!!! As if.................. Congrats on finding temporary happiness though. I love to tinker with my gear too. If you're looking for a good deal on stuff, the Tele I picked up is a CIJ and I love it. Sounds phenomenally twangy in all the right ways. Looks great. There are a few things I'm going to change later on but overall it's a killer.

She is a CIJ, serial # puts her in the 97 range I think. Could be earlier but I doubt is because of how good of shape it's in. I posted some pics under the "long live the tele" thread.

I've been outside a lot since the weather has been so good, not really played much but still manage to pick up the guitar for the odd few minutes- it sits on the stand just asking to be picked up... I've been doing a lot of work outside and find that my hands are really stiff afterwards so I find it harder to play than normal.... Need more practice and less work.

The miserable winter is over, been outside enjoying the weather as much as possible. Probably drag an acoustic outside sit in a lawn chair next to the grill this weekend.
