From the pickguard it looks like a 60s or 69 Telecaster thinline body with a bigsby trem and a humbucker. You get could get a bigsby factory fitted I think The control knobs look a little odd though. Also the humbucker has a black surround which is unusual on a Fender they don't tend to use them At best possibly a 69 tele modded? With a humbucker and new control knobs If you like bigsbys then have a look and if it plays nice ......... and the price is right

I can't see the serial # well enough to tell anything for sure, but it does look a little suspect. To venture a guess I would say someone did a homemade build on a tele thinline body. Put a hummer in the neck, a Bigsby, some Gibson speed knobs and possibly some fake Fender decals. Thats just a guess though.

Yeah didn't notice the serial number According to Fender it was made between 1950 and 1954 looks pretty dodgy to me

I took a guess at the first character being a C and the dater came back with "This guitar is from the Collectors Series made at the Fullerton Plant (Fender - Pre CBS Era), USA in the Year(s): Cannot be determined from serial number " If the price is right it may be worth a look. How much are they asking?

That was my first thought too, but the dater I used didn't recognize it. That was when I guessed at a C. It is a pretty strange animal, I just wish it was closer so I could look at it. Oh well, couldn't afford it anyway.

Good call Yannick. I took another look at it and blew up some the the pics. I'm pretty convinced it's parts o caster. That doesn't make it bad, just not going to have any resale value. As a player it could be gold, but I'm not going to take a chance on a trade without playing it first. This is the very reason that I think it is so wrong to put Fender decals on a non Fender made product. Somewhere down the line someone's gonna get duped.
