I played a short set this week - 7 songs. Some U2, some Chris Isaak, some Steve Earle, and some of my songs... tons of fun. Also saw that young duet again. 2 guys, 17 years old each, w/ more talent than I'll ever have. Awesome. I hope to do an interview for www.Mojocaster.com with them soon. I love their attitudes and the writing chops. Can't figure out how a 17-year old can write this kind of material, but I am a fan. This simple open mic has become a gift in my life. I know that because I look forward to it all week, and because next week is off - Easter - and I am already wondering where else I can play live that week to make up for it Come on guys, go play live!

We're doing an hour and half set Saturday night and a motorcycle rally in a couple of weeks. I agree, playing out is the natural outlet for all the effort we put into our passion. I can occupy myself happily for a time just enjoying the craft but sharing what gets you off musically is just unspeakably cool. I agree Sir Mojo. Everybody get out and play. Where else can you get so intimately familiar with the top of your shoes. ;D

Yeah Mojo....me too. The rest of the guys get a kick out of it but I just find it easier to concentrate on harmony that way. And I guess if (or when) I go off key it's easier not to look into the scrunched up faces in the crowd. ;D

Not today, but I got invited to perform on the next pre- Christmas evening, that takes place in my university each year plenty of time to prepare awesome, what are you thinking in terms of material to play? I think I'll do some Christmas spirit songs, and some of my own I guess. More of a slow pace melodies for a slow romantic dance, since the evening is called "Ladies and gentlemen evening" and most of the guests are couples. Maybe some advice for this couse? That would be most pleasant
