After trying a good few guitars out I decided to buy an American Highway One Strat, just got home but playing it in the shop through a HT-5 I was impressed with it more than the others. It came down to this or a Tele 72 Deluxe which is nice but prefered the Strat. Pics below.

Got to say after going through the songs I can play and trying various positions out I am very much impressed with my purchase. Guitar sounds sweet, the neck is lovely and smooth and the strings which I was informed are a 10 are nice on the fingers.
Very happy, guitar gets 5 out of 5 for me and well worth the money.
Not sure if I like it better than my Baja but its def a runner for my fav guitar ever played.

My only problem with buying this guitar is that I got it from a shop that I really dont like. Its small, the staff arent the greatest and would prefer to go to Guitarguitar but still happy with the guitar.
£500 and you would think they would chuck in a strap or a free set of strings. All I got was 2 picks...... Generous or what.

Can't go wrong with a Strat. I have had them since 1969, I have gone to 10's on the string for the las 5 years after playing 9's for years. The sound is richer and fuller. Bigger the string with more energy it makes in the pickup. Great choice, enjoy Phil

I forgot to add. I have always had rosewood necks in the past but my last Strat has the maple neck and I just love it. Phil

I went to a shop called Scayles, really dont like it.
I bought a strap, strap locks, a set of strings and the guitar and he says to me. "Pick a couple of picks as well if you want"

When I picked up my new Tele, while the salesman was chatting happily ( like he would after flogging an expensive guitar) and printing receips etc. I was maintaining eye contact, smiling and raiding the pick display. Once I had a decent selection I stuffed them in my pocket- while still smiling. He smiled back and shook my hand.
I think we both left happy....
