For me it's Dalwhinnie, Talisker and Macallan. Not necessarily in that order. You?

Whisky! Where to start...... My favorite in the cupboard just now is Aberlour a Bunadh -sheer nectar at an affordable price. I've got a share in a cask still maturing in an Islay distillery that I'm looking forward to getting my hands on in 2-3 years time ;D ;D As a general rule I look for something un-filtered and cask strength but I've enjoyed plenty of blends as well. Then there's rum.......proper rum straight from the distillery after a sleep of 20 odd years

Lagavulin Laphroaig Ardbeg Caol Ila Bunnahabhain Lagavulin
Peaty Islay malts for me and the odd wood finished Glenmorangie
Just finished some unfiltered cask strength Edradour from the smallest distillery in Scotland
But being honest I am more into gin these days - Hendricks, Blackwood and Caurunn - funnily enough they are all Scottish made

I knew there was something I liked about the forum. I have a taiste for Glenfiddich, Glenlivet and Macallan. But I will have to try out some of your brands just to expand my horizons. I like the single malts the best. Just some thing about Scotch , a cigar and the sun on your face that says go get your guitar fat boy. Phil

They buy in the pure spirit and mature it in their own casks with a secret recipe of botanicals. Almost the best gin ever. (THE best is a special bottling from a friend who got his hands on some quintuple distilled gin that is almost sherbert like...)

Phil ha ha, for me, Scotch is best drunk when playing the piano late at night. When I play the guitar, it's usually beer that comes tricklin' down my gullet

When it comes to beer, Belgium, Ireland and Germany are among my faves. So's Maine where I live. Great microbrews around here.

Microbrews are big in the UK as well but our beer or real ale is generally darker then German or Belgian beer If you ever get to Scotland this is the place www.theanderson.co.uk/235 single Malts 20+ continental beers 2 on draught 7 real ales on hand pump last time we were there and really good food. I had wild Sika Venison. The owners are American and (but we won't hold that against them ;D) very nice people.

Funnily enough I don't like scotch. I prefer cognac or my absolute favourite Grand Marnier. Although over christmas I did acquier a taste for Drambuie.
