Woo Hoo! The wifey said, "Why don't you buy a new guitar for Vday?" After a double take and a "Whut?!" from me, we agreed on a budget of $1300-$1500. (I know I will be paying for this BIG TIME at a later date.)
Now - What do I buy? I have a Les Paul Studio and an Epiphone DOT (ES335 copy) - I'd like something a bit different.
All suggestions entertained - quickly, before she changes her mind...
I'd look for a used Melancon. Beautiful guitars at a ridiculously low price for the quality.
I checked out some of these before - seems like they were double my budget. I can't remember whether they were used or not, though.
You can get a used Melancon in great condition for between $1000 and $1200.
This beauty's asking price is $1500, but it's been there a while, so I guess the guy would budge a bit:
