Hi Guys
Came across a problem last night, I was getting a bit strained at playing the same thing over the past few days/weeks.
I only really play songs and wondered what I could learn now.
I play mostly indie/60's rock music.
I am currently working on barre chords but looking for something else to set myself a challenge.
I see people say learn scales but not sure where to start, does anyone have any advice/lessons on scales or any other suggestions of what to try
Thanks

I am no fan of scales personally. I find them boring as all get out. Which is why I haven't made any vids of those When I hit a plateau, I usually do the following: 1. Make a backing track w/ some random chords and see what comes out 2. Record a fun little chord progression on my looper and play over it 3. Put on a CD I haven't listened to in a while and play along 4. Turn on the TV, turn off the sound, play along This seems to have helped me get out of those ruts, and I have found some cool riffs that way.

I know what you mean Mojo, not a bit fan of scales either or the concept of it.
I just want to play my fav tracks.
I have printed off some songs with chords im not familiar with and thought I would give them a bash.
