yeah, we wore spandex during the eighties. I'm pretty darn sure that I couldn't fit into them now. And if I could I'm pretty sure there's a law against it. This post is useless with out photos! I want to see you in Spandex (obviously only for nostalgic reasons ;D) Maybe we need a "Show Yourselves Thread" I am definitely beginning to worry about you Mr H.

OK HJ here we go> I threw away all the really crazy ones years ago for "spiritual" reasons. I wish I wouldn't have done that. Here are the few that remain. At about 18 or so: Promo shot from a different band at about 20 years old A few weeks ago in the studio at 46 years old.

I love the old group shots, sure brings back memories. If I looked as good as you I would have put a present day picture too. But I am 58 so you can emagine the damage that has been done in those extra 10 years. You all have to admit old ROCKER'S are just studly.

Andy, I got up this morning, read your post and decided to give it a try. It didn't work out too well you see, as I have gained a considerable amount of weight in the last 25ish years. The spandex blew up, rubber band shrapnel went all over the house and I ended up looking like I was wearing a couple of silk slinkeys. My apologies. There will be no current spandex picture. Pwfirst: you sir are correct! Old rockers are studly ( at least in our own minds). AND.. no one wants to see this bunch in spandex. Les: Bottom right hand corner. The pretty one.

Hi everyone.
I'm new to the forum but thought I would mention a trade/deal I made Thursday night that I think is a great one.
I started playing guitar again a few months ago after years away from the instrument. I wanted an Epiphone Les Paul or SG but ended up buying an entry level Ibanez primarily because I got a good deal on it. Well I’ve now managed to trade that and some cash in for a new Epiphone SG G-400 in what I think is a great deal.
I bought my Ibanez new four months ago for $200. Epiphone G-400s sell for $400 here. I was in the store where I bought my Ibanez yesterday (different location, same chain) and I worked out a deal with them. I can have a brand new G-400 for my four month old Ibanez and $200 cash. They aren't charging me any tax on the SG and are throwing in a free set-up, a free set of strings, and a free gig bag (or a hard case if the sales guy can find one that nobody is going to miss).
So basically they're giving me the full cost of my Ibanez back even though it is four months old and they're also cutting me a deal on the SG.
To me it was a no-brainer so I gave them the $200, told them to get the set-up done, and arranged to take the Ibanez in on Monday to complete the swap.
I can hardly freakin' wait to get my hands on that SG – it is the classic rich cherry version, feels like a million bucks in my hands, and rings like a bell. It is going to sound great played through my Marshall.
Monday can’t get here quickly enough!

Welcome Colchar, and congrats on a fine trade up. Maybe we could work out some kind of deal where you handle my trades. I don't do so well historically.

Welcome Colchar, and congrats on a fine trade up. Maybe we could work out some kind of deal where you handle my trades. I don't do so well historically. I have been known to be quite the S.O.B. when buying cars as I always get good deals from the dealership so I just applied some of those skills to this deal. I don't know enough about guitars yet to be really good at it but, for a first trade, I'll definitely take it. Actually. I am still surprised that I got them to give me back the full purchase price of my Ibanez. I was thinking after I finalized the trade that I might have been able to talk them down to $175 cash but, at the time, I didn't want to push it.
